In my all-too-brief time at Oberlin College, I discovered a genuine passion for solving problems using data. I used to think of statistics as mathematical purgatory, but have since found incredible satisfaction (and a shocking amount of creative freedom) in it. My goal now is to establish a career in which I get to help people make informed decisions using data analysis.
I worked in the Oberlin Psychology Department as a TA as well as a research assistant, gaining extensive hands-on experience with RStudio, SQL, Python, Tableau, Excel, and long-term project management. I also had the privilege of working for and playing in Oberlin's renowned orchestra, logging hundreds of hours of work experience in arts management working alongside the Conservatory's exceptional faculty.
Since graduating, I've found satisfying work as Lead Web Developer for Colorado Vocal Arts Ensemble, a phenomenal choir based here in Colorado Springs. I've spent most of my free time working on personal projects and professional certificates that focus on turning raw data into actionable insights. I most recently completed the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate, giving me an excellent grasp on the entire data pipeline and how to effectively communicate your findings in a professional setting.
My passions are not entirely limited to data, of course. Having been raised by two musicians, I have a deep love for performing and listening to music. My main instrument is trumpet, but I'll occasionally dabble in some piano and guitar if I'm feeling frisky. I also arrange and compose music, so feel free to contact me if you're working on a video game or short film and need a composer!
I started developing websites (including this one) as a side gig and creating 3D digital art in Blender as a hobby. When I'm not obsessing over my newest interest, you can catch me watching corny action films, reading historical fiction books, or hiking in the Rockies.
